At the "head of the table" (apologies to WWE's Roman Reigns) and the top of the food chain this month, we find our number one song is....can I get a few notes from the Maestro?
#1: Coolio - "It's All The Way Live (Now)"
A solid tune from another talented musician who left us too soon, this jam just barely cracked the US Top 30 in 1995.
If you're a performer who would like to have his or her work featured on Radio Free Connecticut, feel free to hit me up at radiofreerocket@aol.com. The number one spot is waiting for you!
In Passing
Now, a bit of a "blue note".
On May 29th, former local radio personality John LaBarca passed away at his home in Bristol, CT, at the age of seventy-five.
LaBarca is best known for his time hosting the "Italian House Party" on Bridgeport's WICC, as well as various other stations. He also is remembered as one of the many voices behind WICC microphones in the music-intensive days of that station, which lasted until the late 80s.
Radio Free Connecticut sends its deepest condolences to the LaBarca family, as well as all of the departed's extended family on the airwaves.
"Until Next Time"....
...."bye-bye!" (Former talk show host John McLaughlin)
